Gabby's 8 Months Today!

Sorry I've been lagging behind on the posts.  We've had a lot going on these past few months!  Our little Gabbers is growing up right in front of our eyes.  In the last post she had her first tastes of food and now she's a little eating machine.  I've been making all her food with our Baby Bullet and she LOVES fruits (of course she has a sweet tooth).  She loves her sweet potato's and banana's the best.  She even actually downed the asparagus I made for her!  And now I see her first little tooth budding through.  It's on her top in the front.  She's been taking it pretty good.

Gabby is a pro at rolling now - all over our floor.  She can get where she needs to go by rolling her way across a room and of course she sits up all by herself.  She's working her way to crawling.  She'll get up on all fours and kind of balance but hasn't made progress forward or backwards yet.

Gabby's new thing is to try lay on her side posing.  She's really trying to get into the sitting position from laying down but ends up posing instead:

Little Miss Piggy

Our little Gabbers had her first taste of real food yesterday.  She's been eating rice cereal for about a month now and that was going so well we're introducing veggies.  I'm going to wait to introduce the fruit since mom has such a sweet tooth i'm sure Gabs will get it and won't want to eat her veggies once she tastes the extra sugary sweetness of fruit ;)

5 Months!

Our little Gabber Doll is already 5 Months Old!!!  Time is flying by!  Month 4 brought a lot of firsts for Gabby.  First time rolling over, first cereal, first time grandpa changed a diaper, first time getting to meet Uncle Derek (who she took an immediate liking to), first time mommy left for an overnight, first full time daycare and first time fully transferred to her crib.  She's growing and developing at the speed of light.  On 2/1 she was 14 lbs 11 oz. and 25" long.  She's doing really well in all her percentiles (in the 60-70% range).  She loves talking to people and hearing her own voice.  She's blowing bubbles or 'raspberries' as the doc calls them.  Her new favorite thing is grabbing her feet and putting anything into her mouth that she possibly can.

Laugh Out Loud

Gabby is growing and smiling more every day!  She's such a happy baby and so fun to be around at this age.  She's laughing and interacting all the time.  At 4 1/2 months she weighed 14.4 pounds.

Gabby Doll is 4 Months Old

Our little peanut is a few days away from being 4 months old!  She's growing so fast and time is flying by.  This week marked my return to work and Gabby to full time day care.  Her first few days have been great and makes me feel so much better and less stressed about the decision.  Let's continue to hope and pray Gabby does well there and it's a good experience for her and she's in safe hands.
We had a great first Christmas with Gabby.  She was so interested in looking around at all the new people and surroundings she was introduced to.  She did so well at Church and all the gatherings we attended.  This Christmas made me really see how truly blessed I am to have such an amazing little girl and supportive family that is all healthy.

For Christmas my mom got us a session with a photographer to get some 3 month nice photo's of Gabby.  Here are the pictures from that.  She's such a cutie pie :)

3 Months Old!

Our little Gabbers is growing up fast!  She's over 3 months old now....14 weeks to be exact.  She weighs a chunky 12 lbs. 13 oz!  She's had a little illness this past week.  She's been stuffy and had a hoarse voice :(  Poor little girl sounds awful.  I took her to the doctor and it looks to be acid reflux that has irritated her throat so she's now on prescription zantac.
Gabby had her first professional photo shoot on Saturday and we're so excited to see the photo's.  She did really good and first and then was just not really having it toward the end...but what do you expect from a 3 month old, she just wanted to nap and we were making her pose.
We've been getting Gabby into the Holiday spirit with lots of cute little outfits.  Grandma and Auntie Liv have helped with that.

Gabby Loves to Gab

Gabby is growing like a weed!  At her 2 month check-up (really almost 10 weeks) she weighed 11 lbs. 2 oz.!  She grew an inch and is around the 65% percentile on most her stats.  The doctor couldn't believe how strong her neck was....she was acting like she was trying to sit up (as seen in video below)!  She's consistently rolling onto her side when she's on her play mat and can now follow our voice when we speak to her.  She's at such a cute stage of smiling when we talk to her and talking back to us in conversation.  She's been sleeping about 10 hours every night which is something mom and dad love.  We're excited for her first Christmas and will keep updating with pictures and video as much as we can :)
